About TranSeal

Built on Sealux technology

TranSeal combines a 70mm wide epdm upstand strip with a 20mm wide adhesive bed to accommodate shower trays and baths with perimeter sidewalls less than 40mm wide.

The TranSeal kit includes 2 alcohol wipes and a short butyl strip ‘corner extender’ that should be applied (if required) over rounded shower tray and bath sidewall corners and moulded to form a 90 degree angle ensuring the Transeal strip extends fully into adjacent wall corners.

Rounded Corners?

No Problem!

If corner extenders are not being applied, pinch TranSeal prior to bonding it around corners to maintain a 90° angle and that will avoid tile deflection over the strip upstand.

Once the shower tray/bath is located in final position, bond that part of the up-stand that extends above the ledge to the adjacent wall with a ‘quick grab’ polymer adhesive (readily available in builders merchants).
Ensure only Sealux-N or an equivalent quality neutral curing silicone is applied into the joint between the tile and ledge
